Current social phenomena such as status, self-optimization and self-presentation as well as social presence form the starting point for the fashion designs of the class 2022 of the Staatliche Modeschule Stuttgart. This results in works that transform the themes in very different ways to people and bodies and take a critical, ironic or ambivalent position.
1. minimal core:
Purism, purity, functionality, naturalness, basic-orientation reflect a basic ethical attitude in the styles. Silhouettes are oversized and straightforward, reflecting a healthy lifestyle. Pastel tones dominate. Classic dress shapes combined with organic cutouts are the basics.
2. body core:
Extreme body emphasis, organic shapes, cutouts and reflections from inside to outside characterize the looks. Fine, flowing fabrics and satins contrast with transparent underwear grommets and meshes. Important details in the designs consist of gold chains and sculptural jewelry elements. Couture and sporty finishes are juxtaposed.
3. glam core:
Self-dramatization and extroverted appearance to the extreme. The crash between party and street style is realized via drapery, glitter stones and fringes up to royal glamorous looks. Close-fitting headgear shows the ambiguity of sacral restraint and functionality.
